Dakshindihi Rabindra Complex is a place in the memory of world poet Rabindranath Tagore (Rabindranath Thakur sosuraloy Khulna), located in Dakshindihi, Khulna. Dakshindihi is located 3 km northwest of Fultala Upazila, 19 km from Khulna city. This is the father-in-law’s house of Rabindranath Tagore.

South Dihi has close ties with the famous Tagore family of Jora Sanko in Kolkata. Rabindranath Tagore’s mother Sarada Sundari Devi was born in this Dakshindihi village. Rabindranath’s aunt Tripura Sundari Devi is a girl from this village. Mrinalini Devi, the wife of Rabindranath, is the daughter of Dakshin Dihir.
Her good name is Bhavatarini, after marriage, she was named Mrinalini Devi. During the 1982 Puja holiday, Jnandanandini Devi became enthusiastic and went to Narendrapur in Jessore on the pretext of seeing Bastavita. Kadambi Devi, Balika Indrani, boy Surendra Nath, and Rabindranath came to see the old vita with Gyandanandini, a bride collection from the Pirali family near the purpose.
In his youth, the poet came to his uncle’s house in Dakshindihi village with his mother several times. Busts of the poet and his wife have been placed here. Rabindra Jayanti and Poetry Day are celebrated here on 25th Baishakh and 22nd Shravan with various arrangements.
The Opening and Closing Schedule:
Lower for students, some for ordinary people, and some for foreigners. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm. Monday from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Closed on Sundays. Rabindra Jayanti and Poetry Day are celebrated here on 25th Baishakh and 22nd Shravan with various arrangements.
How To Go There:
From Dhaka to Sohag, Eagle, Hanif, and Greenline transport to Khulna and from there by bus to Fultala Upazila. From there you can go to Rabindranath’s father-in-law’s house by autorickshaw or local vehicle.
