Toiduchora Waterfall At Khagrachari

Taiduchara waterfall

Taiduchhara Jharna is located in Dighinala Upazila of Khagrachhari district between two green hills and a forest. In Tripura, Taidu means watergate and Chhara means spring. The extraordinary beauty and natural diversity have given this fountain a different dimension. Taiduchhara is one of the many places of interest in Khagrachari. The water of Taiduchhara spring flows through the folds of the curved hills drawn in the middle of the forest. The murmur of the cool clear turbulent water is heard all around. Water fell from a 300-foot-high hill and then into the rocky ground. Like all other fountains, its water does not fall directly from above. The water of Taiduchhara spring falls down after crossing the rocky steps made like a ladder on the hill. On the right side of the Taiduchhara waterfall, there is another waterfall called the Thangjhang waterfall.

Taiduchara waterfall

Here you have to climb 100 feet up the slope of about 60-65 degree angle. When you go up, you will first see the mouth of the fountain from where the water of Taiduchhara spring is falling. Water is coming here from Thangjhang spring on the way to Jhiri. When you go up, you will first see the mouth of the fountain from where the water of Taiduchhara spring is falling. Water is coming here from Thangjhang spring on the way to Jhiri. After walking for about an hour along the Jhiri Path, you can reach the Thangjhang Falls. This path is as difficult as it is exciting and beautiful. Water is coming down from here with great speed. You have to walk constantly pushing the speed of this water. On the right side, where the water flow is low, algae have accumulated. The foot slips a little. Sometimes the water flow here is too much that wants to push down. So you have to walk very carefully by pressing your feet here. Once slipped, it has to be thrown hundreds of hands away. From here you have to climb higher. On the way, you have to give big stones and water equal to the waist. Then you will get the second Taidu spring. The fountain is wonderful and eye-catching. It is so beautiful and no one will be in a hurry. The mind will want to jump under the shower. The fountain is about 60 feet high.

There are many rocky steps like stairs where the water of the fountain comes and falls directly. Water is flowing down the steps. Standing on the steps, the work of bathing can be done effortlessly. The pain of long tiring walk can be washed away in a moment in the shower water. The cool touch of the shower water will make you forget even for a moment. On the way from Dighinala to Taiduchhara, we have to take enough food and drink. Try to take a light backpack. If not, it is better. You can keep some dry clothes with you.
