Adampur bit of Rajkandi protected forest in Kamalganj of Moulvibazar district of Sylhet division. To the locals, this forest is better known as Kawargala bit. Adampur is the largest of the four bits of Rajkandi forest reserve. In size, it is about 13 thousand 60 acres. The Indian state of Tripura is right next to this border forest. The Adampur Reserve Forest covers most of the high hills. The walkway has gone under the big trees. Somewhere along the way, the path has gone from the middle of the two tillers. Monkeys are most often seen walking. There are also face Hanuman, spectacle Hanuman, owl, fish tiger, Maya deer, etc.
Apes are rarely seen in this forest. However, their shouts can be heard in the deep forest. And if you go a little deeper, you can see Hanuman with glasses and Hanuman with a face. Besides, there are bears in this forest. It goes without saying that they are not seen. However, from time to time there are reports of their attacks. Besides, various birds can also be seen in this forest.
There are big bamboo palaces inside the Adampur forest. Radish, Meetinga, Dolu, Rupai varieties of bamboo are abundant in this forest. Every year during the monsoon season, the bamboo of this forest is planted in the hilly path. Adampur forest is quite secluded. There, people come very few. Khasiapunji is next to the forest. The people here go to the forest for daily work. This is the place where you can go on a jungle trip. Besides, there are many agar gardens on both sides of the road before the Adampur forest.

How to get there
First, you have to go to Srimangal or Kamalganj. Non-AC buses of Hanif Enterprise, Shyamoli Paribahan, Sylhet Express, etc. from Sri Fakirapul and Saidabad in Dhaka go to Srimangal. The rent is 300 to 400 Tk. Besides, the intercity train Parabat Express leaves from Kamalapur in Dhaka at 6.40 am every day of the week except Tuesday. The Jayantika Express leaves daily at 2 pm and the Upban Express leaves at 10 pm every day of the week except Wednesdays. Rent 115 to 765 Tk.
The Parabat and Jayantika Express trains stop at two Bhanugachha stations. The railway station of Kamalganj is in Bhanugache. However, if you go to any other train, you have to get off at Srimangal. Autorickshaws can reach this forest ten kilometers away from Kamalganj. The driver has to talk about the Kawar throat bit office. If you take your own vehicle, you can go to the very mouth of the forest. In the dry season, you can drive to the front of the forest bungalow.
Where to stay
There is an inspection bungalow of the forest department inside the Adampur forest. You can stay overnight in this bungalow with the permission of the Sylhet Forest Department Office. Besides, you can go out in the forest all day and stay at night in Kamalganj or Srimangal. However, the distance from Kamalganj to Adampur is less. The only good quality accommodation in Kamalganj is Suez Valley Resort. Located next to Shamshernagar Airport, the resort has various facilities including a swimming pool. The quality of food is also quite good. Room rent for cottages at the Swiss Valley Resort is Tk 2,000 to Tk 4,000.
