The nine-domed mosque is located on the south side of the Zindapir Mosque in Bagerhat and on the west bank of Thakurdighi. The nine-domed mosque was built in the 15th century. It is located on the west side of a dighi known as Thakur Dighi. Near this mosque is the tomb of Khan Jahan Ali. Traditionally, the west wall of the mosque faces Mecca, and the mihrab is placed on the inside of the wall. On the west wall, terracotta designs of flowers can be seen around the mihirab. The mosque has minarets or high round towers at the four corners. The whole mosque is inlaid with terracotta carvings. The walls of the mosque consist of a huge dome surrounded by eight relatively small domes. Inside the mosque, it is divided into nine square pieces with two stone pillars. The roof of the mosque is made up of nine domes on each piece. There are 3 domes in the front, 3 in the middle, and 3 in the back for a total of nine domes.
The domes are arranged in such a way that no matter which way you look at them, the distance from one dome to another is the same. There are a total of 3 concave mihrabs at a certain distance on the western qibla wall. There are 3 doors in front of the mosque. There is Zinda Pir Mosque and Mazar near the mosque.

How to get there

The mausoleum is located 3 km south-west of Bagerhat city and 22 km south-east of Khulna city. Its location is 300 yards away from Khulna-Bagerhat highway. You have to walk this way to get off the bus. The nine-domed mosque is located west of Khan Jahan Ali Dighi. You have to go to the right side of the shrine.
