Jurachari has located 56 km from the headquarters of Rangamati. The word ‘jur’ means cold and the word ‘chhari’ means rhyme or spring. This Upazila is named after the spring named Jurachari. Jurachhari Upazila is bounded on the east by Mizoram in India, on the north by Barkal, on the south by Bilaichhari, and on the west by Rangamati. The only means of communication in this area is the waterway.
On one side of Jurachari is a tree that comes down from a distant hill. On the other hand, in the silent waters of Kaptai Lake, the breeze of the breeze awakens the sleeping beauty of the people. Where the mind wants to be lost. There is an army camp next to the Jurachhari Upazila complex. Moreover, the police of Jurachhari police station is always ready to provide security to the tourists. With permission from Barkal BGB camp, you can visit Bhushanchhara and Chhota Harina and on the day of return, you can visit Meetingachhari, Subalang Jharna, Hanging Bridge, and DC Hill Park.
How to get there
There are many modes of transport from Dhaka to Rangamati such as Sohag, Saudia, Shyamoli, Hanif, Eagle, etc. You can leave from Kalyanpur, Kalabagan or Saidabad. Rent for non-AC 700-850 Tk, AC 800-1000Tk. If you leave at night (10-11 hrs) you will reach Rangamati very early in the morning (6-7 hrs). The autorickshaw fare from the cantonment area of Rangamati town to the reserve market will be 100 Tk. The trawler will take 10 to 11 thousand Tk for three days. You can also go by launch from the reserve market. One launch left at 8.30 is and another at 2.30 pm for Jurachari. The rent is 60 to 200 Tk per person. Only two launches come and go throughout the day. It takes about 3 to 4 hours. On the way, boats stopped at three or four wharves including Shuvlong and New Bazar.
You can also go from Dighinala to Khagrachari. In that case, you have to take a motorbike from Dighinala to Langadu very early in the morning. It will take about 1 hour to reach Langadu from Dighinala, the distance is 35 kilometers. Shuvlong Bazaar by trawler from Langadu. After lunch there, get on the launch of Jurachari and reach Jurachari Ghat before evening.

There are no tourist hotels in Jurachari, not even wooden boarding. The problem has to be solved with the cooperation of a local.

Food hotels can be found in the Jurachari market. Delicious food is served at Mohammad Ali Hotel next to the Upazila Complex. The price is also low. What to take with: Take a life jacket. If possible, inform the senior officials of the administration.
